 2023 Nonprofits:

Reports from both Compassion Prison Project and Counseling are due at the end of January and we will be providing updates in our February.

A message from the Founder of Compassion Prison Project:

The end of a long, fulfilling day and the end of a long, extraordinary year.

We are so grateful to all the volunteers who bring their compassion and love to the work we do at prison.

We are also grateful to all the men and women who work at CDCR (and at CRCC) who work tirelessly to make sure our visits go smoothly and help us make the day rewarding and transformative.

This year we have visited the following prisons in California (and one in Washington State):

  • Lancaster - February 28, March 1, March 2

  • Chuckawalla - March 14 and 15

  • Correctional Training Facility - April 12 and 13

  • RJ Donovan - June 21 and 22 June

  • Corcoran - June 29 and 30

  • Central California Women's Facility - July 17, 18 and 19

  • Valley State Prison - July 20, 21 and 22

  • Correctional Training Facility - August 21, 22, 23, 24

  • California Rehabilitation Center - September 14

  • Coyote Ridge, Washington State - September 19, 20, 21

  • California Rehabilitation Center - October 4

  • Calipatria - October 11 and 12

  • San Quentin - October 22

  • Pleasant Valley - November 11

  • Lancaster - November 29 and 30

Each day we met with up to 120 incarcerated men and women.

We touched thousands of lives and the ripple effect is helping to transform other lives inside and outside prison.

Our vision of turning prisons into communities of healing and transformation is becoming a reality and it's happening with the help of your support.

Let's continue this important work. Please consider making a donation, signing up to volunteer, or joining us at one of our Community Meetings in the new year to see what we're all about!

Best wishes for a transformative 2024!
